100 Sixes By Chris Gayle in IPL
Chris Gayle the aggressive opening batsmen from the Westindies is the only IPL player who prefer not to represent his national team during IPL seasons. Gayle has become the first player to hold the record of hundred sixes in IPL. Gayle have played a total of 37 innings in IPL altogether of which 16 he played as a part of Kolkota Knight Riders (the top on IPL5 points table).
The WestIndian batsman from Kingston, reached this milestone on Sunday May 6th during his 26 Runs knock against Amit Mishra of Deccan Chargers at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
Gayle hit 26 sixes during his KKR time period and 75 sixes came off his bat in just 21 innings (22 matches) while representing Royal Challengers Bangalore. Gayle also holds the record of most sixes in T20 cricket with 253 sixes in just 102 matches. In past few years, Gayle have emerged as an outstanding T20 players with a number of records under his belt. This certainly is a big advantage for Westindies team in upcoming T20 Worldup in September if Gayle would agree to become a part of his national team.
